106-250 NESS 4G Dialler Firmware Update Instructions (Rev 1.2)

If you want to apply this update yourself, you must agree to the terms. Sign the attached 106-250 4G Dialler Firmware Update Agreement.pdf file and return it to sales@radioparts.com.au or your rep directly to get the download link for the firmware files.

This process only applies to Ness model number 106-250 and its NS/S variants. Refer to the
separate instructions for 106-480 models.

• These instructions are provided to qualified persons experienced and proficient in the application of  firmware updates.
• This software is used at the Customer’s own risk.
• There is a possibility that the firmware update may fail and render the product unusable (Bricked)

Ness SIM Cards

If the customer is using a Ness provided SIM card and we end up inserting it to a NEW dialler/unit, then the sim card will need to be reactivated. See attachment for details. If we are simply updating the same dialler to the new version, then it is not affected.

CHECK THE LABEL ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT BEFORE PROCEEDING AND CONFIRM THE CORRECT MODEL. ENSURE THE UNIT HAS TYPE-C AND NOT MICRO-USB

1. Connect the 106-250 dialler to your PC with a USB-A to USB-C cable. The USB cable must be rated for data (some cables are designed for charging only and will not work for data transfer.)
   
   
2. Connect power to the 106-250 dialler
   
   
3. Run the NuvoISP-250.exe tool
   located under ..\Company - Documents\Files\NESS Dialler Upgrade\106-250\106-250-firmware
   
   
4. Press and hold the Reset Button and then turn on the power switch.
   The RESET button must be held down during the entire programming process.
   
   
   These instructions apply to 106-250 diallers fitted with a USB-C port.
   Updating older models which have a Micro-USB port will render the device
   inoperable (bricked).
   
   
5. Click CONNECT
   
   
6. Click APROM then locate and select the update file EC25-NESS-15.bin
   Located under ..\Company - Documents\Files\NESS Dialler Upgrade\106-250\106-250-firmware
   (This step is only required on the first run)
   
   
7. Click START
   Successful update is indicated by PASS
   
   
   
   
   
   
8. Release the Reset button, reboot the dialler and check the display.Updated firmware will display A380-6-EC25-15
