Can I use another mobile APP instead of Goolink suggested?

Yes. Goolink provides a simple plug and play solution without the need or knowledge of complex network setups. If you wish, you can install compatible third party apps, such as MEYE but you are required to manually do port forwarding on your router! We do provide a paid service to help you setup port forwarding. See our RMACCESS service.

You will have to open more than one port on your router. If your NVR defaults to a Remote Port of 5050, and HTTP port 80, on your router, you have to open 5 ports: 5050, 5051, 5052, 5053 and 80. When you add the NVR on MEYE app, you need to put port number 5053, (NOT the default port 5050, it is actually 5050+3).

Another example:
If you change the Remote Port on the NVR to 6100 and HTTP Port to 6200, on your router you will have to port forward: 6100, 6101, 6102, 6103, and 6200.

The port number to put in on MEYE would then be, 6103.
