Problem
When you are adding cameras to your NVR under the Channel Settings > Channel Connecting section you see a "Connection failed" error message
Solution
If you haven't connected your NVR to your local network (WAN) then you have to make sure that DHCP is not selected under the network settings. Choose a static IP address for the NVR which is the same subnet as the cameras (default is 192.168.1.XXX).
